An honest audit first
We search as your customers would, then say plainly which fixes earn their keep and which can wait.
Across the 150 queries we gathered from Google.ca, a handful of habits recurred whatever the trade. People add “ontario”, and the cleanest local lists all carry it. They name a road or landmark: Lakeshore, Algonquin, Main Street, downtown, the mall. They ask about time: north bay stores open today, even north bay grocery stores open labour day. And nearly every list hides a job search.
Behind them is a city of 52,662 people, in a census area of 71,736 and a trading area the city puts at about 112,000. Many customers drive in from Callander, Powassan, Sturgeon Falls or Mattawa, and look you up before setting off. French is the first language of 11.3% of residents, more than three times the Ontario share.
Search demand
Real Google.ca suggestions from 4 October 2026, across different kinds of business. Swap in your own trade and the patterns still hold.
For almost any small shop here the list is short: write “North Bay, Ontario” where Google reads it, name the road or plaza people use to find you, keep hours exact through holidays and storm days, show real photos, and keep reviews arriving. If you serve the outlying towns, say which ones. None of it is complicated, and in a market this size it is often enough.
A short self-check
Run these four checks on your own business; they cover most of what we would look at first.
If you are missing from either list, your titles and profile need “North Bay, Ontario” written out.
Open-today searches depend on them. Google lets you set special hours, so use them for long weekends and snow days.
Search from your phone next time you are out that way. If you vanish, a page about serving those towns may help.
If it is months old, start asking again. Recent reviews tell customers more than an old average does.
The work
We search as your customers would, then say plainly which fixes earn their keep and which can wait.
Every field filled: categories, products, opening and holiday hours, photos and a few lines on what you sell.
Each main product or service gets a page, phrased the way local people phrase their searches.
Name, address and phone written the same way on Google, Apple Maps, Facebook and local directories.
Separate addresses and language tags for French pages you write or have professionally translated. We do not translate.
Phone calls, route requests, messages and visits, plus a sentence on what moved and the likely reason.
Done carefully
Every field has its own rules and regulators. These are the limits we keep for this one.
Sometimes the right answer is a tidy Google profile and nothing more, and we will tell you so.
A monthly plan makes little sense if word of mouth already keeps you booked, if one large customer takes all your capacity, or if almost nobody in the area searches for what you sell. Then a one-off clean-up of your listing may be all you need. When a plan does fit, Starter is $300 a month in Canadian dollars, and you can stop without being held to a long contract.

How we work
Four steps that take a North Bay business from hard to find to easy to choose.
We review your site and Business Profile, then check rankings from downtown North Bay and the towns you serve.
We pick the searches worth winning, including the “ontario” versions, and give each one its own page.
Profile, page, content and listing fixes, beginning with the changes most likely to bring calls.
A short monthly note on calls, messages and positions, and what we intend to do next.
Questions
Rarely. We gather the North Bay searches for your line of work, look at who appears and why, and apply the habits on this page to your site and profile.
Most map visits start at the profile, so begin there. A small, quick website then adds what a profile cannot hold: full service lists, prices, photos and answers to common questions.
Write it as “Powassan, Ontario” in titles and descriptions. The bare town name shares its search results with a tick-borne virus, and the province makes the difference clear.
If French-speaking customers are a real part of your trade, it can be worth it. Write the pages yourself or have them professionally translated, and we will set them up so each can rank. We do not offer translation.
Starter, our smallest plan, is $300 a month; Growth is $500 and Pro $700, all Canadian dollars, with no contract running past the month you are in. Routine site upkeep sits inside every plan, while design or speed projects get a one-time quote. Compare the plans.
